A CENTER TO SATISFY INFORMATION AND CULTURAL NEEDS
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture is designed to be a landmark facility of enduring social and cultural value that uses state-of-the-art technology to provide new knowledge opportunities and learning experiences for people of all ages. To best serve the information and cultural needs of the general public, the Center is divided into multiple facilities:
Library with numerous printed and digital volumes, a special collection of rare and perishable publications, an archive for preserving and viewing valuable artifacts and documents relating to the Kingdom and Saudi Aramco, and multimedia and study spaces.
Museum of art and antiquities, showcasing its permanent collection alongside seasonal exhibitions loaned by other institutions, and offering classrooms and a multimedia room.
Youth facilities including exhibit and activity space, a children’s library and conveniences for students and teachers.
Exhibition & event facilities including large and small exhibition halls and an auditorium.
Media center with a press office and briefing room.
Visitor center providing information and services such as tour booking, stroller and wheelchair loans, first aid and telephones.
Gift shop offering souvenirs, educational materials and cultural articles related to the exhibits at the Center and Saudi Aramco, such as music, films and traditional Bedouin and Saudi cookbooks, spices and jewelry.
Café a casual yet elegant dining establishment that invites you to relax, reflect and discuss your experiences at the Center.
Visitor lounge & prayer room where you can rest and fulfill your prayer obligations as desired; men’s and women’s facilities will be available, along with a shared lounge with comfortable seating.
Outdoor grounds where you can walk and linger amid greenery, fountains and ponds, picnic areas, playgrounds and an educational garden that features plants of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
