MUSEUM: A CELEBRATION OF CULTURE
Innovative and creative museum exhibitions at the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture will showcase and celebrate the rich history and legacy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Middle East and civilizations around the world. The museum’s exhibits will be curated to bring to life the stories of many peoples and cultures, sparking cross-cultural engagement and appreciation. Exhibitions include a celebration of the many diverse lifestyles of the Arabian Peninsula, an examination of classic Islamic art and its international influences, and an
in-depth view of the region’s natural ecosystem.
LIBRARY: THE LIBRARY OF THE FUTURE
A spark of inspiration, a source of knowledge and a place that fires the imagination, the Center’s library offers its hospitality to all those who are intellectually curious. This facility will be a place to explore history, culture, sciences, economics, industry, trade, Islam, art, travel, literature, crafts, horticulture, agriculture, archaeology, music and more. With a wide variety of books, magazines and other publications in Arabic, English and other languages on topics like these, the Center’s world-class public library and learning center will offer the wonders of the world.
PROGRAMMING: EVENTS THAT ENGAGE AND ENRICH
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture is a social institution committed to celebrating Saudi heritage and global cultures through events and programs that foster dialogue between generations and people. The Center will offer experiences — such as film screenings, live performances and popular lectures — that expose visitors to the marvels of Saudi Arabian culture among others. Events at the Center inspire dialogue and foster new friendships centered on culture and learning. Once the Center is officially open, a full calendar of events will be available throughout the year, from seminars on the role of technology in Saudi Arabian society to performances of plays and musicals at the auditorium.
MEDIA CENTER: A CENTER OF INFORMATION FOR THE PRESS AND PUBLIC
King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture is pleased to share news of plans and programs with the media and the public — both online now, and at the state-of-the-art Media Center that will be located at the landmark museum and cultural Center once it opens to the public. There, dedicated facilities and programs designed for members of the press will be offered, such as formal media briefings and private tours of the Center.
